Spinach & Sesame Crackers Recipe (Review + Giveaway of The Veginner’s Cookbook!)
If there’s one thing I’ve always wanted to cook, but never had the courage to try it would be: vegan crackers. I’m not sure why I thought it was so difficult (maybe because boxed crackers cost so much, so I assumed!?). Either way, these Spinach & Sesame Crackers are everything you’ve wanted from a cracker. Best of all, I’m giving away a copy of The Veginner’s Cookbook!
This all started when I received a copy of ElephantasticVegan’s new book: The Veginner’s Cookbook!
First of all: Holy cow.
We’re talkin’ 80+ recipes including:
- Basics
- Breakfast
- Soups
- Main Meals
- Breads
- Snacks & Party Food
- Sauces & Dressings
- Desserts
Best of all?
Every single recipe has a beautiful color picture alongside it. (I loathe cookbooks without pictures.. Why do I have to guess what it’s gonna look like!?)
After weeks of recipe deliberation, I finally decided to recreate her Spinach & Sesame crackers on Serving Realness. Like I said, I had been dying to try making vegan crackers!
Vegan Spinach & Sesame Crackers: Dangerously Easy
Now, when I say this recipe was easy: I’m being dead-serious.
I expected days of kneading, hours of baking, and weeks of waiting.
What did I get instead?
A 35 minute recipe that yielded the most beautiful green crackers I’ve ever seen (bye store-bought!).
Furthermore, I wanted to try Miyoko’s famous artisan cheese, and this was the perfect excuse.
Guys, I can’t even put into words how amazing this cheese was. We totally scarfed the entire wheel down in one sitting. It’s that good!
Enough Drooling, Get Your Hands on a Copy!
Bianca from Elephantastic Vegan was kind enough to send me a 2nd copy of The Veginner’s Cookbook to giveaway!
To win: all you have to do is comment on this post about a recipe you’ve been dying to see veganized. It can be anything!
Giveaway Rules: All contestants must live in the U.S. and be 18+ in order to be eligible. One winner will be picked by random by end-of-day March 1st and will be notified on ServingRealness.com

Spinach & Sesame Crackers Recipe (Review and Giveaway of The Veginner’s Cookbook!)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 loosely packed cups fresh spinach
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
Instructions
- Wash the spinach and put it in a blender together with the water and blend until completely smooth
- Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C
- In a mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients and whisk together. Then, add in the olive oil and water, and mix. Knead with your hand until it's a smooth dough. Add more flour if your dough is too sticky.
- On a floured baking sheet lined with parchment paper, roll out the dough until as thin and even as possible. Use more flour if you need to.
- Cut the dough with a pizza cutter into individual crackers.
- Bake them in the oven for about 20 minutes until they become crispy and golden brown.

I’m so glad you like the spinach crackers and the book in general! <3 The Miyoko's sundried tomato garlic cheese wheel looks like the perfect addition! I can't wait until Miyoko's cheeses are sold where I live. I've been wanting to try that one for ages!
