28 Healthy Vegan “Chocolate Covered Anything” Recipes
It sometimes feels like I only write about two things:
Chocolate and Mexican food.
Is there something wrong with that? HELL NO
????*middle fingers raised*????
My #1 rule in life?
Never trust anyone who hates chocolate!
All joking aside, it’s no secret how much I love vegan chocolate. When I saw that December 16th was “Chocolate Covered Anything Day”, I knew I needed to celebrate! And I do mean chocolate covered anything.
I recruited my blogger friends to send me their favorite vegan chocolate recipes, and they never disappoint! I’m talkin’ vegan chocolate covered cakes, fruits, cookies, and… jalapenos!? Damn right!
(I told you; Chocolate and Mexican food are my favorites!!)
Let’s get on with the recipes!
1. Chocolate Chip Pancakes from Vegan Huggs
Aside from Chocolate and Mexican food, pancakes are my favorite thing in the world. I’ve even been known to eat them for dinner (don’t judge!). Melissa kicks it up a notch by smothering the golden cakes in chocolate and whipped cream! These chocolate chip pancakes also happen to be gluten-free, yay!
2. Healthy Cake Pops from Emily Kyle Nutrition
The queen of energy bites is back, but this time she brought healthy cake pops! These treats are made with creamy dates and are also gluten-free. Starbucks, who!?
3. Chocolate Orange Bliss Balls from Lauren Caris Cooks
Another favorite flavor combination of mine is orange and chocolate. This is another date based recipe, with a hint of orange zest! Plus, look how beautiful these bites are!

6. Roasted Almonds with Cocoa from Food, Pleasure, & Health
Almonds are my favorite snacking nut (is that a weird thing to say?). They’re packed with protein, vitamins, and heart-healthy flavonoids.. What’s not to love!? This recipe only requires 3 ingredients, 15 minutes, and one pan to make a nutritious snack! As a bonus, this recipe is naturally gluten-free!
7. Vegan Coconut Bountys Balls Covered in Chocolate from VanillaCrunnch
I’ll admit: I’m not the biggest fan of coconut. This recipe, however, has me questioning everything I thought I knew about my tastes! These bites are dairy-free (duh!), gluten-free, and contain no refined sugar! Hooray!
8. Vegan Chocolate Mousse from Cake and Beans
You’d never guess that this vegan chocolate mousse is made from aquafaba and avocado! What a dreamy, creamy heaven in a dish! Even better, the recipe only requires 4 ingredients and a handful of time.

I am a huge fan of matcha. In fact, matcha has 137x more antioxidants than regular green tea! What better than to mix it with the other king of antioxidants? Welp, Rebecca took green tea and paired it perfectly with chocolate in pancake form! Win-win-win!

Vegan. Chocolate. Mint. Cake. With. Ganache. That’s all I have words for! This cake looks absolutely fabulous, especially this time of year!

22. Marshmallow Swizzle Sticks from Fried Dandelions
Oh my god! Sarah blows me away (again) with this recipe! I don’t know how I haven’t heard of this before, but it’s basically solid hot chocolate on a stick. All you have to do is stir around in some warm milk, and voilà, instant hot chocolate! Give me 300 to last through the season!

27. Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls from Beautiful Ingredient
Traditional peanut butter bites are loaded with powdered sugar. Luckily, Kari is a pro at “Plantifying” non-vegan recipes into healthier whole-food based treats! These PB balls are no different, with only 7 ingredients they are also gluten-free, reduced sugar, and oil-free!
28. Almond Butter Blossom Cookies from Joy Food Sunshine
These cookies are as nostalgic as they come! My mom’s peanut butter version featured a hershey kiss on top, but I’ve been missing them ever since going vegan! This version is gluten-free, paleo, peanut-free, and delicious!
